Revere Eid Boutique Market — Islamia College Hall, Lansdowne [14 & 15 March 2026]

The Muslim Family Law Hub had a meaningful and impactful presence at the Revere Eid Market, held at Islamia College Hall in Lansdowne over the course of the weekend.

Nearly 200 hard copies of our pro-forma Muslim marriage contract were distributed over the two days — placing an important legal tool directly into the hands of community members who need it most. Our pro-forma Muslim marriage contract is also freely available to download on our website, ensuring this resource remains accessible to all. Alongside this, our volunteer attorneys offered free family law consultations from our stall, while student volunteers championed the importance of a written Muslim marriage contract in conversations with those considering marriage.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our volunteer attorneys — Ayesha Royker, Refqah Ho-Yee, Hakeem Allies, Kaamilah Paulse, and Yumna Ederies — who gave generously of their time and expertise to advise members of the public. Equal thanks go to our student volunteers — Almaas Bailey, Ghanaan Wicomb, Iman Abrahams, and Yusra Walters — whose warmth and enthusiasm kept the momentum alive across both days.

To everyone who stopped by our stall — whether to collect a contract, seek legal guidance, or simply ask a question — thank you. Every conversation is a step toward more equitable Muslim family law outcomes in South Africa.
