Director Yasmina Francke Presents at International Zakah & Waqf Conference

Our Director, Yasmina Francke, CEO of SANZAF, presented at the International Zakah & Waqf Conference hosted by SANZAF and AWQAF SA on 17 and 18 October, calling for greater integration and collaboration among Muslim NGOs serving local communities.

Alongside representatives from AWQAF, Penny Appeal, Zam Zam Foundation, and SANZAF, Yasmina highlighted a critical challenge: while passion and commitment are undeniable, working in isolation leads to duplicated efforts, competition for resources, and missed opportunities to multiply impact.

Yasmina emphasised that to uplift our communities out of systemic poverty, we need a movement where NGOs work with each other. The discussion reinforced that uplifting and serving with unity, strategy, and sincerity is an act of collective Amaanah.
